In Loving Memory of Carole Ann Martin

Carole Ann Martin (née Nuese), age 83, passed away on March 31, 2026, surrounded by the love she gave so freely throughout her life.

A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dedicated educator, Carole will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, gentle spirit, and the nurturing presence she brought to everyone around her.

About Carole

Carole was born on August 1, 1942, in Marshall, Minnesota. She graduated from the College of Saint Catherine’s with a degree in Education and taught English at the high school and university level, including at Southwest Minnesota State University. Her passion, patience, and compassion touched countless students’ lives.

In 1968, she married Dr. Charles “Paul” Martin, and together they raised three children: Tom, Jennifer, and Amy. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Church and served on several education boards.

Carole had a deep love for nature and the outdoors — she was happiest with grass under her feet. Her honest nature, warm spirit, and gracious attitude made everyone around her feel loved and cared for.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all the lives she touched through her teaching and nurturing heart.

Her Final Wish

As her final wish, Carole asked that in place of flowers or other gifts, donations be made to EduTek Global.

She wanted to support bringing offline digital education to children in remote communities across Africa — places where it is needed most.

Every gift helps deliver thousands of lessons, videos, books, and interactive learning resources, allowing children to study and learn even without internet or electricity. This feels especially meaningful given Carole’s lifelong dedication to education.

All donations are processed through the PayPal Giving Fund with zero fees, so 100% of your generous gift goes directly to the cause.

Your kindness will help keep Carole’s legacy alive by creating real opportunities for children who need it most.
